NANDROLONE DECANOATE aka Deca Durabolin, GP Deca 250, Nandrodex 300, Decaplex 300, Decabol

No injectable (besides testosterone) has enjoyed the same level of sustained popularity through the years as nandrolone decanoate. Deca, as this compound is commonly called - due to the decanoate ester attached, is a very effective compound with many benefits to muscle building and few side effects. Nandrolone is not known to cause many estrogen related side-effects although, as is the case with most AAS, this varies substantially from user to user. In general, nandrolone has a low rate of aromatization and does not convert to DHT. Combined, these facts make nandrolone a good choice for anyone concerned about androgen related sides like oily skin, male pattern baldness and enlarged prostate. Nandrolone also seems to exhibit a very positive effect on nitrogen balance, bone mineral and collegen synthesis and is a very good stimulator of appetite. By stacking testosterone the muscle building properties of nandrolone are augmented and the possible impotence avoided.

Nandrolone is a 19-nor compound which indicates the possibility of progestational activity resulting from it's use. In fact, even though nandrolone is not known to result in significant aromatization, side-effects like water retention, gynecomastia, acne, etc are possible from nandrolone use because of progestational activity. For this reason, letrozole is commonly employed to prevent these aromatize related side effects and dostinex is popular for preventing progesterone related side effects. Some users report that concurrent dostinex use is so effective that they can combine another 19-nor steroid (like Tren - something usually not recommended) and still minimize the related side effects.

Typical doses of deca range from 100-1000 mgs/week with around 500-600 mgs being common for a minimum of 12 weeks. Since many users tolerate this compound very well and experience few side-effects 16 week (and more) cycles are not unheard of.
